When you work with an agency partner who understands your business, who masters your voice and your messaging, and who feels like a seamless extension of your team ... it's like rocket fuel for your organization (or, to quote Bette Midler, it's the wind beneath your wings.)

We know you have a full plate and big goals, so we proactively make working together as easy as possible. We’re always looking for ways to make your life easier.

I love to write. I’m also a total grammar freak and a bit of a Type A personality, too. And I passionately believe that conversational, approachable and insightful content can help my clients solve real problems for their customers and make a real difference in the world.
Throughout my career, I’ve written marketing communications for companies of every size, from Aon Corporation to Zano Hair Salon. I also bring a strong business and analytics background, with a Master of Public Policy from the University of Michigan and a Bachelor of Science in Economics from Michigan State University. As a result, I excel at breaking down large quantities of data and connecting the dots, so that we can tell the right story in the right way.
When I’m not dreaming up new ways to share information with impact, you can find me enjoying family time at our lake house in Michigan (if it’s summertime), cross-country skiing (if it’s wintertime), or taking long hikes with our dog (anytime).

If I had a quarter for every time someone said, "You have SUCH a way with words," I’d be sitting on my own private beach right now. From my early days as a kid reading Archie comics to my work today, the written word has always been my passion.
After a decade in public relations and communications, I shifted to copywriting and content marketing. I’ve since written everything from Very Serious Business Copy for SaaS companies to blogs exploring the cultural and biological underpinnings of earwax.
At Clariant Creative, I love exploring the psychology of clients’ target markets and figuring out what emotions cause them to take action, and then creating the copy and content that speaks to the brain and the heart.
My home base is a teeeeny-tiny fishing village in Nova Scotia, and when I’m not writing, I can be found playing my fiddle, hanging out with my family, or geeking out to all things Star Wars.

I’m a HubSpot power user with 11 certifications (and counting!), along with more than a decade of digital sales and inbound marketing experience. Rest assured, I can bring order to your inbound needs. Colleagues and clients have even dubbed me a “digital marketing therapist” thanks to my ability to build effective solutions, solve sticky problems, and enable data-focused growth.
Community-building is a longstanding passion of mine, and I am an ardent believer in empowering women to utilize technology to build the career of their dreams.
To that end, I am the co-host and co-founder of the podcast Lady Tech Charmers, which focuses on women in technology and female leadership. I am a founding board member of the non-profit Carolina Women in Tech (CWIT).
One of my recent proudest accomplishments is launching the annual Charlotte Student Entrepreneur Summit to inspire high school students to explore entrepreneurship.
Gardening is part of my creative process, while hula hooping and yoga keep me balanced.

After choosing Food Marketing as my college major based on my love of food, I realized I had a knack for the marketing part, too! Aside from all things food and cooking-related, I’m passionate about creating content to help companies and brands educate, connect, and build trust with their target audience.
With nearly a decade of client-side marketing experience, I’ve been in our customers’ shoes. I’ve worn multiple hats at an early-stage start-up, proved the value of inbound marketing at an enterprise software company, and partnered with global sales organizations to hit revenue goals.
I love to take on big-picture strategic planning projects, as well as dig into tactical day-to-day problem solving. I’m excited to use my learnings to support clients in their own sales and marketing journeys.
Though I’ve lived in New England for most of my life, I’ve traveled to 26 states and 21 countries, and am always planning my next adventure. I also enjoy yoga, running the occasional half-marathon or 5k, and reading, preferably on a sunny beach or by the pool.

I live my life based on the idea that you should always chase what makes you curious. When I started my career in marketing nearly 10 years ago, I was fascinated to discover how marketing could be used as a tool to empathize, solve problems and clearly explain complex subjects.
Since then, I’ve helped everyone from solopreneurs to CEOs develop a deeper understanding of their customers. That understanding becomes the foundation for marketing strategies that build trust, drive action and produce results. I’m thrilled to use these skills to help my clients at Clariant Creative develop effective and lasting connections with their customers.
When I’m not working, you’ll probably find me in my home kitchen cranking out just about anything sweet. Unless the weather’s nice—then you’ll find me outside swatting mosquitoes and spotting interesting wildlife in one of Florida’s many local, state and national parks.
Lead DesignerView Bio
I started my career designing and maintaining websites over 20 years ago. Shortly after receiving my Marketing degree from Loyola University in Chicago, I was hired as a graphic designer for a small company. I soon found myself in the role of webmaster, at which point I taught myself how to code. Although I've always considered myself the creative type, I discovered I have a real knack for the technical side of marketing as well.
This means I’m able to look at all perspectives as I help clients create a unified, impactful presence across their branding, website, content, social media and more. My favorite moment is introducing an idea that might not have occurred to the client – and that hits a home run for us.
When I’m not busy designing and developing, I’m probably heading off to hot yoga, taking my dogs for a walk, or watching a Cubs or Blackhawks game with my husband and two daughters.

Unapologetic word nerd here, with a full career in both the corporate world and as a freelance content writer and business/communications consultant. I have an affinity for healthcare, technology, and a few more industries. But my specialty is people—empathizing with them and understanding what motivates them. I’ve spent decades arranging words to connect people with products, services and companies.
My training is both formal and unconventional, starting with Bachelors of Arts degrees in Advertising and Telecommunications from Michigan State University. I could cover a wall with my Communications Style Course certificates. And I’m trained as a Life Coach, a discipline that is based in empathy and understanding another person’s experience.
I also have a passion for making a difference and leaving the world better than how I came into it. It’s the philosophy that drives who I am, the people in my life, and the organizations I support. When I’m not being prolific, you can find me comparing song lists with my two teenagers, watching college sports, or planning a fun, scenic getaway.

I’ve been a writer since elementary school, where I “published” handmade reference books for the school library. My passion now is writing customized, targeted content for clients who appreciate the power of the written word. Over the past 20 years, I’ve been a copyeditor for an international brokerage firm, a technical writer for a government contractor, an in-house sales and marketing writer for an event planning firm, and a freelance copywriter serving a wide range of businesses.
Great content works wonders, engaging readers and encouraging them to take action. I truly enjoy creating that content with Clariant Creative, as we help clients develop strategic messages that help them reach new markets and pave the way for growth.
When I’m not writing, this recent Texas transplant is learning to say “y’all” in the right context. I also enjoy spending time exploring our new home state with my husband, two kids and Carolina Dog.

In my five-plus years as a writer specializing in inbound marketing, I’ve written content for industries I didn’t even know existed – from hypnotherapy to bed bug control to everything in between.
Along with outstanding writing skills, success as an inbound marketing writer requires a deep curiosity and a willingness to ask questions and seek out answers. I strive to understand my clients’ businesses almost as well as they do, so I can genuinely represent their voices and expertise in my writing.
Prior to becoming an inbound marketing writer, the eight years I spent as a newspaper reporter and editor sharpened my research abilities and instilled in me a rock-solid belief in the sanctity of deadlines.
After a year-long adventure in rural France, I recently settled in Michigan.

Before I discovered I wanted to write B2B inbound copy for a living, I travelled with the circus, climbed the Swiss Alps, fought in the Falklands War and slept through a live performance of Swan Lake.
I wrote my first piece of B2B copy in 1991. That’s not a typo. Today, I write B2B inbound copy for Clariant Creative’s technology clients, where I specialize in translating tech-speak into English.
I share the Clariant Creative commitment to writing copy that moves leads along a buyer journey toward a sale, and I enjoy helping our clients use inbound marketing to attract, convert, engage and close customers.
When I am not writing blog posts, case studies, landing pages and lead magnets, I’m likely out and about with my DSLR camera, looking for buildings with interesting lines, shadows and colors to capture.

I knew coming into college that I wanted to work with people. In what capacity? Answering that question took a little longer. After changing my major four, no five, times, I came upon my final major, Advertising and Public Relations. And frankly, I loved it. Understanding people and connecting with them through research was something I could see myself doing for the rest of my life.
Now, I’m tackling the tenacious task of finding my niche in the advertising and marketing world. Enter Clariant Creative. By helping our team of marketers build and execute inbound strategies for clients, I am gaining real-world experience and finding my place in the marketing job sphere.
I am a senior at UNC Chapel Hill studying, you guessed it, Advertising and Public Relations. When I’m not changing majors or finding my niche, you will find me in my household of eight people playing board games, watching “Why Women Kill,” and loving on my cat, Ollie.
